What SnagAction stores.
This notice explains the data handled by the current preview so an inspector can use a private workspace, keep evidence and return for reinspection.
Account and project data
When you sign in, SnagAction receives a stable user identifier, email address and, when available, your display name. It stores the projects, units, inspection details, observations, assignments, report revisions and internal comments you create.
Photographs and offline copies
Uploaded original and completion photographs are stored privately under the signed-in account. When a connection is interrupted, a temporary copy may remain in this browser’s local database until it synchronises. You can remove a project, or delete all account data from the account page.
AI-assisted wording
If AI drafting is activated, only the selected snag’s typed observation, location and category are sent for bilingual wording. Photographs, client names, contractor names, severity and the wider project are not sent by that action. The generated wording remains editable and must be reviewed by the inspector.
Product measurement and abuse prevention
SnagAction records limited first-party events such as page views, sample downloads, plan reservations, projects created and reports issued. A random browser identifier helps count repeat visits. The public contact form also uses a short-lived human-check record and a one-way request fingerprint to prevent automated spam and limit repeated submissions. These controls are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Control and requests
Account deletion removes the account’s projects, report revisions, uploaded photographs, reservations and account-linked product events. A browser may still hold an offline copy until its local storage is cleared; the account page requests that cleanup after deletion. For access, correction or privacy questions, use the request form.
